3D face recognition smart door lock with Tuya APP

Function introduction

Compared with 2D face door locks, 3D face door locks are not easily affected by factors such as posture and expression, and are not affected by light environment. At the same time, they can prevent attacks such as photos, videos, and headgear. The recognition performance is more stable and can achieve high-precision 3D secure face recognition. 3D face recognition door locks are currently the smart door locks with the highest security level.

 

Technical principle

The light containing structural information stimulated by a laser emitter of a specific wavelength is irradiated on the face, and the reflected light is received by a camera with a filter. The chip calculates the received spot image and calculates the depth data of each point on the face surface. 3D camera technology realizes the collection of real-time three-dimensional information of the face, providing key features for subsequent image analysis; the feature information is reconstructed into a three-dimensional point cloud map of the face, and then the three-dimensional point cloud map is compared with the stored face information. After the liveness detection and face recognition verification are completed, the command is sent to the door lock motor control board. After receiving the command, the control board controls the motor to rotate, realizing “3D face recognition unlocking”.

For example, in the application of smart door locks, it is more reliable than traditional fingerprint recognition and 2D recognition door locks.

Main technologies

There are currently three mainstream solutions for 3D vision: structured-light, stereo, and time-of-flight (TOF).

·Structured light has low cost and mature technology. The camera baseline can be made relatively small, resource consumption is low, and the accuracy is high within a certain range. The resolution can reach 1280×1024, which is suitable for close-range measurement and is less affected by light. Stereo cameras have low hardware requirements and low cost. TOF is less affected by external light and has a longer working distance, but has high requirements for equipment and high resource consumption. The frame rate and resolution are not as good as structured light, and it is suitable for long-distance measurement.

·Binocular Stereo Vision is an important form of machine vision. It is based on the principle of parallax and uses imaging equipment to obtain two images of the object being measured from different positions. The three-dimensional information of the object is obtained by calculating the position deviation between the corresponding points of the image.

· The time-of-flight method (TOF) uses the measurement of light flight time to obtain the distance. In simple terms, a processed light is emitted, and it will be reflected back after hitting an object. The round-trip time is captured. Because the speed of light and the wavelength of the modulated light are known, the distance to the object can be calculated.
